New Florida DOT (FDOT) APL Designation
The Florida DOT (FDOT) has added the Evolution 15 driver feedback sign to its Approved Product List (APL), a resounding endorsement of industry leader Traffic Logix’ radar speed signs. The sign has undergone rigorous evaluation as mandated by FDOT to qualify as a state approved product. In addition, plans are underway to expand approval to the entire line of SafePace evolution signs. These range from a compact 11” digit sign to a full matrix, dual text and speed display 18” digit sign.
Positive Endorsement & Increased Access
Florida DOT testing to meet quality assurance standards are among the highest in the industry. The rigorous audit of both the product and company assure buyers that they’re accessing a quality solution from a reputable and environmentally conscious provider. The designation of the Evolution 15 as an FDOT approved product gives more Florida communities access to the sign while also offering a decisive endorsement of the sign as an effective solution to speeding on local roads.
About the SafePace Evolution 15
The SafePace Evolution 15 radar sign is a portable, lightweight radar sign with full size 15” digits for optimal visibility. The sign displays flashing “slow down” text, which is activated by driver speed. Cities can choose from either a yellow, white or orange sign face. This ensures that the sign meet requirements for work or school zones as well as local streets.
The sign’s lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for portable use and the company’s universal mounting bracket and speed trailer make it easy to mount at multiple locations in a matter of minutes.
Insights and Trends with Real-Time Data
The SafePace Evolution 15, like all of Traffic Logix’ SafePace signs, is web enabled so that all data can be accessed in real-time from anywhere with wi-fi. This gives users a wealth of traffic data, statistics, and reports. The detailed traffic data offers valuable insight to DOTs and cities on usage and safety trends. This provides valuable guidance to help in designating and planning further safety improvements.
“We’re excited about our designation as an FDOT approved product,” noted Louis Newman, the CEO of Traffic Logix. “Hundreds of communities and cities across Florida already use SafePace Evolution signs. But the APL designation adds recognition of the outstanding quality of our technology. It also highlights its efficiency in slowing vehicles and protecting lives in work zones, school zones, and local neighborhoods.”
